Kushi Dango

Designed around the theme of traditional Japanese sweet called “Kushi Dango”, this room (located on the 2nd floor) faces the main garden and features a king size bed, a tatami lounge space and a private bath. In this room, several parts of the building were preserved in its original condition. This includes a tall ceiling with wooden beams and a “Tokonoma” (a traditional built-in display space) encasing contemporary objects that were custom designed or selected to highlight the theme.
